ISABEL CASTILLO GUIJARRO
Born during the spring of 1990 in Madrid (Spain), not that long ago but long enough to have lived in Managua, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and recently moved to New York City.
She grew up thinking she could become an “ideas seller”, or maybe a journalist and travel all over the world, but her very deep desire is to become an artist someday.
In 2008 Isabel started Creative Advertising at The American University In Dubai, where she stayed during two years before transferring to Parsons The New School for Design in New York, where she is currently studying BFA in Communication Design. Coursing as well, Graphics Summer School in 2009 at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design (London), where she was awarded for the best work in both typography and advertising. Both subjects which she is passionate about, together with illustration, painting, architecture and design in general.
Far from her studies, Isabel has volunteered with START from the Al Madad Foundation and was the Creative Consultant for two years of AUD International Aid Society. Worked for The Farjam Collection in Dubai and made design collaborations while working at Groc Editora in Barcelona.
