Packaging Ourselves: Cube (2011)

The goal of this project was to design something that will represent us and our work, and that we could leave after an interview. My take on this was to “sell” me as a drug. A medicine with different side effects such as creativity, passion, originality or art. The cube has an outside with my name, a small bio on one of the sides, the ingredients on the other (fun, smiles, creativity, originality, music….) and another side with the Drug Facts, just like a medicine with the different side effects, prescription, etc.
The inside is a small surprise. When you open it there is a poster inside about the joy of life. I truly believe this represents my work pretty well, cause its pasionate-sophisitcatelly-simple yet original, and with a little surprise on the inside.
Misto Drinks (2011)
Package + Brand design.

Misto is a ready mixed drink brand. Coctails with four basic alcoholic drinks. There is VODKA MISTO, cranberry lime and vodka; GIN MISTO, is a tom collins; TEQUILA MISTO, tequila and orange juice, also known as tequila sunrise; and RUM MISTO, wich is a Cuba Libre or rum with Coca Cola.
The idea of this drinks is that they are, like beer, already mixed on a can. So you dont have to worry about getting the ice on one side, the mix and the alchol separatelly. it all comes in one. It also represents the fun of drinking. Each can has a different black & white photography of people having fun. It doesnt mean you have to get drunk for the sake of getting drunk, this is a more elegant version of that, MISTO is about enjoying your drink.
Each can, as well as the 6 pack box, have a different quote that goes along the philosophy of enjoying life and living the moment.
Gaman (2011)
Packaging for cosmetics.

Gaman means in Japanese “the strengh and dignity with wich someone fights the problems of life”. This cosmetic’s brand is designed for adventurers, people who constantly travel from one place to another. That flirt with adventure, are willing to take risks and have a very elegant way of carrying themselves. The female line is based on watermelon perfume, coconut body lotion and a tonic. The male is wood essence, body lotion and aftershave. Both have anti mosquito.

The goal of this project was to design an emotion. My first though was lust. i picture in my head a big circle rounded shape with colours inside moving, just like watercolor in water. Rounded because everything in nature is rounded, there are no streight lines, we as humas have created those streight lines.
The feeling of lust changed into passion. Still rounded figures in the inside but within a square shape because everything has limitations, and it only lasts for minutes if not seconds. Lights are also part of that passion. It makes it engaging and want to look at it for a longer time.
