The New School Commencement Ceremony Cover Design (may 2012)
I wan the school’s competition to design the cover of the 2012 Commencement Ceremony . It was printed and used during the ceremony. The design is inspired by the school artistic side, using colour to show the variety in the many disciplines the school offers and the variety of us, both student’s and faculty, diverse nationalities.

I used fragments from songs and things people had said to me to create the figure of a skull. The beauty of the typography contrast the common perception of a skull (death, punk, etc.) creating a “beautiful disaster”.
